While many women feel “naked” or “almost naked” when wearing pantyhose without panties underneath, some women actually prefer to wear pantyhose without panties beneath them. Meredith Vieira from the Today Show is one of them. It all comes down to the individual wearer’s physical and (perhaps more importantly) emotional comfort. If you feel more comfortable wearing pantyhose without the panties underneath, then do so. It is all up to you.

My sister and I have had this debate several times. She says you should always wear panties under pantyhose. I personally don’t think it’s necessary. Like you, it feels too bulky for me and as long as you feel comfortable without wearing them, then don’t. I never have and probably never will. To me, the pantyhose in the picture look like they would be uncomfortable if you did wear panties underneath.
